Yes she is. And thats why this manga/anime is so appealing. It gives the false hope that an
attractive, funny, energetic japanese girl could possibly be as autistic and socially awkward as

She is energetic, just listen to how actively she thinks. She says good bye to a teacher and
dashes off to a convenience store with glee. She eats a hamburger, to begin devouring it like she
was starving.
Her personality is great, it's just being shadowed by severe social anxiety. But you, as the
viewer don't miss that.

Maybe I missed something, because I don't watch anime very often. Watamote is the first anime
I've watched in like 5 years, but you seem to have missed the entire point of the show.
If she was fat or disfigured, she could blame that on her low social status. She's supposed to be
of "average" looks, as another character describes her at least once (I think it was her
brother). Her low social status and lack of friends is entirely due to her spaghetti.
