Srsly no other movie... all the movies in the world combined cannot match the sword play in

this movie was more visually impressive then it was plot driven. it was just a glorification of
the undeserved attention ff7 received. despite all that, this was the first ive seen with CG work
quite like this, i've yet to see anything really like it, if anyone has feel free to post a link.
i remember not knowing anything about the ff series when this came out but being blown away by
the fluidity, detail, and solid framework that was put into the fights, talking and even the
subtle movements of the characters.

I'm trying to figure out how people can state that physics doesn't work right in this movie. A
LOT of movies have physics that wouldn't work. Who cares? The movie did well. Hate it or not, it
did well enough. I enjoyed it. Then I moved on. Meh.

The reason we point out the shit physics here and not elsewhere is the suspension of disbelief
phenomenon. A 'double jump' or 'air jump' is just so far out there yet common that it's something
that is easily dismissed whilst playing the game.
A double jump in action games is the same as the grossly oversimplified driving of just about any
popular driving game.
The act of 'throwing' someone upwards whilst midair yourself is an attempt on the game creators
part of making cloud's ridiculous ascent feel more realisitc whilst being somehow meaningful for
the characters that support cloud throughout the game.
Unfortunately, it's this type of bullshit that the brain simply can't accept. It's just the right
amount of bullshit to forever remain in the realm of bullshit.
Back to the analogy of a driving game, it's like if your car somehow flipped over and you were
still able to accelerate and maneuver as if your car was still right side up. Shit just doesn't
work that way.
