  In order to to solve this dilemma, we need to mechanise everything and rais people in complete
  ignorance. The only reason you are showing compassion for those animals is because you are aware
  that they are living under supposedly cruel circumstances. And you will only continue feeling bad
  about them as long as you are consciously thinking about it. Why are you not sorry for the

  I don't really give a shit what conditions those chickens are put in. They do not possess human
  empathy, and they are dangerous, unthinking, unfeeling creatures just like most animals.

  Furthermore, if they are anything like humans, they quickly acclimate to whatever environment
  they find themselves in. Ever heard of stockholm syndrome? Even people in crazy situations can
  adapt as long as they are safe and taken care of. These chickens have it good, because they never
  have to worry about anything, like getting their eyes pecked out, or being beat up by another
  chicken.
