personally, I interpret this as some sort of metaphor of our daily lives. Everyone has dreams,
pursuits, desires, and we try all we can to make them come true. Alas, the only thing we obtain
from actually having those dreams come true is death itself. It's the price to pay, to live out
all of our fantasies.
The fox reaching out to the viewer... Maybe it's pleading to God, "Please, let me fly!", "I'll
give anything to fulfill my dreams".
After death, the fox is able to fly, like it always wished. Maybe it could be what the afterlife
is: a place where everyone can make their dreams come true...

The Fox is dying from the start. When it's running around and flying are what it wants to do, but
the realization that it's moments from death are what causes his wings to fall apart and have him
fall back to face his mortality. Becoming an angel is what becomes of him when he finally passes
away at the end. Fucking hunter hit him instead of his mother; who abandoned him shortly after
the shot was fired. The poor little thing wished it never happened, but then reality came
crashing down on him.
