  here's something that you can do to give it a small improvement.

  It seems you're using the same sprite at the base of the tornado to be produced a whole bunch of
  times like the ground is exploding. Try making another sprite and the base so that it doesn't
  look the same all the time.

  Another thing you can do is make a thinner tornado in the center of the main tornado, like an
  inner layer.

  Have the main tornado follow the thin tornado very closely to give it the full effect.
  Hopefully my improvement ideas help. If that's not the style you want, fine. Fuck you too.

  different images, apply DisplacementMapFilter from perlin noise, noise also determines direction,

  I notice a slight bug when going up or down on the screen, the dirt explosion thing stays pretty
  fixed, rather then moving side to side, it'll extend

  Along with what I just said: when you move down, you'd expect the tornado on top of all those
  sprites. But yeah, just a heads up.

  Maybe for each level up thing, you just go to a different 'map', with news reports of the killer
  tornado on a rampage.
  Maybe have storm chasers as enemies that have a potential of knocking down the twister?

  Nah, the levels. I'd prefer it to just be emergent, rather than distinct levels. As you get
  larger, more stuff is going on, and you can go more places. Kinda open world, but not because
  fuck that, open world is way more work than this game deserves. I'd also like to add bonuses and
  bosses somehow. Yet I still want to keep it simple.

  The news reports would come in when you do something important, like reach a certain size or take
  out the white house. I'm kinda curious to see what'll happen if /f/ actually collaborates on
  something....
