[_] [G] I AM CYCLONE (again) Anonymous 05/03/09(Sun)13:13 No.970467
More tests. If any comsci fags out there know anything about z-buffers/sorting let me know. And I
know it's laggy, the graphics suck, etc. trying to get all the rendering right.

I like how the cyclone can do nothing but removing grass.

Oh. And it can also shit on the ground!

I'm testing it loading/parsing the data, most of the stuff is defined in an external XML. Also,
testing the z-sorting, please post bugs that you find.

A tree stays in the background and doesn't move with depth.

Yeah, but how many people are going to do that? I guess I'll get around to fixing it eventually.

IAMCYCLONE - Grass Remover's Edition?

No, I mean a true z-buffer. Flash manages depth like shit, but it looks like I may be stuck with
swapDepths() just for speed reasons. Also, I figure z-sorting algorithms still apply, and a
modified z-buffer would be great. Like, instead of buffering and drawing individual pixels, I can
buffer and sort movieclips.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude.......
Are you the same guy from that other time?
Because that first test looked a little more epic with said dust at bottom of the twister.
And what about my double cyclone idea?
