  I can get it maybe 70% of the time, by building half-diamonds along the side the cat is

  Leave an opening for it to go to, and knowing exactly how it's going to move, build from there.

  Don't just keep blocking it's movements, because then it'll keep running out of your traps. Lure
  it in, then block it off.
