I'm new to flash, and I'm trying to recreate the shape interpolation effect from the "Bad apple"
AMV, specifically, the transformation of the brush into Suika's horn, but I'm getting moving
unfilled brushes that eventually form the horn. Why arent they black, as the initial brush?

>> [_] Anonymous 02/01/14(Sat)00:31 No.2275772

Because Bad Apple was done in after effects, not flash.

>> [_] Anonymous 02/01/14(Sat)00:32 No.2275773

Because flash doesn't work that way. It tries to move all of a shape's points during a morph, so
if the end result has a different number of points it just generally fucks with the original
shape until finally replacing it outright at the end result.

You're not going to find an easy way out, dude, you'll need to animate it frame by frame.

I could try to fill the "transition brushes", but that would be painful. Anyway, I still don't
understand why it turn a black silouette into an unfilled one, and then refill it... I mean, it
should morph the brush shape, and make it unrecognisable, but why does it change its colour?

  >>2275776
it's not changing the colour, it's just shifting around the filled parts and doing its best to
move the "unfilled" parts at the start to match the "unfilled" parts at the end.

Just a polite question, but are you stupid? You know there are a million tutorials out there
explaining this shit in detail that would help you a lot more than coming here? /f/ is a flash
board but the majority of people don't know how to use flash, and those that do are cunts who
don't have patience to deal with people asking the same question twice after having it answered
the first time. IT'S JUST THE WAY THE PROGRAM HANDLES THIS SHIT.

And as for it being "painful" to do the inbetweening manually, WELCOME TO THE FUN AND EXCITING
  WORLD OF ANIMATION, MOTHERFUCKER.

ALRIGHT this thread is a little misleading. you can in fact have automated "interpolation"
through flash but its VERY VERY TEDIOUS. almost more worth it to just do it frame by frame or get
  another program to do interpolation

anyways if you want vector interpolation, look up shape tweens and shape hints. use those

fun fact - shape hints suck and youre gonna hate your life after putting in 50+ hints and somehow
flash still being confused at what you want it to do. flash sucks there i said it

  Frame by Frame bro.
