The project initially started with Mike drawing a girl on /i/ and then making a flash out of it
called "50 hues of megumi".
It only had like ten colors though, and the color changes weren't very well synched. Anon D saw
it at some point, fixed it up, and added the beat string of "x...o..x" that you see.
Even further down the road, Anon T picked it up and thought it would look cool with more
character options, so he added that and posted it. I happened to be in that thread, and
coincidentally so was Mike, so the three of us hooked up and have been working on building it
into what it is now.

So yes, we're still connected with the original creator. We don't really have a specific reason
for working on it. It's just been something fun to do, and it's been cool getting suggestions
from the other people on /f/.
I'm not sure about giving out the source. We had been thinking about something along those lines
though, some way to allow people to easily add their own content. So we'll keep every posted on

in terms of customization, how about allowing the swf file to pull images from an online album of
black and white images that the user wants to use?
maybe you can even use that for the default album. although other updates to the file itself may
still be useful, you won't have to update the swf file with images all the time
iono if thats too much to do. i dabbled in flash a bit so i know this is a viable option but it
may be too much work for what its worth lol
