Or maybe they shouldn't keep hot oil in a big fucking pot like that and tell this woman (who
doesn't look like she has that much upper body strength) to lug this HUGE VAT OF BOILING OIL when
there's a shit ton of variables.
Honestly, has that shit ever even happened?

It's not oil. It's hot water. She slipped on the grease. I've been a chef for ten years, and the
burns on my arms will attest to the fact that boiling fat burns MUCH worse than that.

Clearly, she shouldn't have left her fiancee's kitchen.

As things are in my country, if she worked here and ever complained about her upper body strength
and huge vats full of cooking stuff, there would be 95% chance she would be fired for
"inadaptation to the workplace/work tasks".
Us working class have to take it and be quiet about it if we want to keep our badly payed jobs,
because if we get fired ... not even offering to work in the fields for free will get us a job
... that's how bad it is over here.

I worked in the back of a grocery store deli that did significant mass-production for cold case,
self-serve hot bar, pizza bar, and prepackaged meals. We shared a huge walk-in oven with the
bakery (Not SUPPOSED to walk in, but it was floor to ceiling). To bake things, we had racks that
were taller than most people that you stacked baking sheets onto. One time, an older mexican
woman who worked there was pulling the cart out, and some trays slid off of it and hit her in the
face. It left a burn for a month or so, but I don't know if it permanently scarred her.

In my country, she would have sued for damages and got enough money for a new face, and to quit
working for her entire life.

I'm on a Work Health and Safety committee as an employee / union rep and this ad is a fucking
crock of shit.
"I should have cleaned up the grease." is Master & Servant personal responsibility shit.
It is more:
"My bosses' inflicted work culture is so fucked, we a) don't have time to clean up grease spills,
b) there is no culture of preventative safety, c) if I bitched about needing 5 minutes to clean a
grease spill I'd be fired."
"And they shouldn't have put the whatever so close to the whatever."
Again: this is about work culture and job design by the boss.
There are no accidents: there is daily class war against workers by bosses.

>>2280142
Yep. I work in a restraunt currently. During the dinner/rush hours there IS no time for cleaning
up because there isnt really anyone with specifically that job classification. Everyone switches
between what we currently need at any given momment. If you spill something, it has to wait.
This is just a way for business to try to put the blame on the worker rather than the business.

I think that's what the commercial was implying, take a look at their website too and you'll see
they're talking about enforcing workplace conditions and stuff.

Pretty sure it doesn't HAVE to wait, at least if the are complying with health and safety laws.
Cleaning up as you go is something even household cooks do.

yeah but friar greese won't even harm you if you get out of it fast enough. I've spent a good 3
years of my life working in fast food.
It's the friar greese hitting you in the face or popping out that hurts the most.
Or god forbid, when your patty grill decides to cum in your face, I've lost so many pairs of
glasses it's not even funny.

That's just the main character's point of view, which is purposely expressed in a way that shows
how employees often make things their personal responsibilities when we the viewer recognize that
the mess could have and should have been avoided through competent management.

I used to work at a Coldstone Creamery and a local pizza place and I've actually seen some weird
shit. I saw someone break their fingers with a batch freezer once and also caught two girls
scissoring in the walk-in cooler.
