Dear /fit/,
Thank you for your advice, instead of getting big, I did heavy cardio, now I wear cool
thigh-highs, and get dicks. I'm alright now.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/05/14(Mon)08:49 No.2374090
Most of that advice was good, he just interpreted like a fucking faggot, focusing on positive
aspects and goals is a good way to remain motivated, exercising is a natural way to release
dopamine and other feel good hormones and improve your health, better health and physical
appearance along with a more positive outlook improves your overall social capacity and
positively reinforces the actions. Relaxation reduces your stress load and make you mentally more
capable of tackling problems
unless you have a physiological issue, whereby your brain does not produce the hormones you need
to mentally cope with existence, you need to get your shit sorted, it isnt fucking that hard, the
perpetual reinforcement and acceptance of shitty emotions by faggots on the internet is fucking
absurd.
depression is a luxury
>> [_] Anonymous 05/05/14(Mon)08:55 No.2374093
Those are good advice as long as you do as they tell you.
Getting /fit/ will get anyone feel better about themselves. Even though I don't fuck chicks.

It's a much bigger problem than "just doing things", it's a chemical imbalance that can make a
person very unmotivated to do much of anything. It has nothing to do with how many good things
they try to think or that they actually have it good in reality comparatively.
>> [_] Anonymous 05/05/14(Mon)10:12 No.2374130
>>2374126
not really, there is medication to balance those chemicals. If you aren't smart enough to go see
a doctor and find that out, you deserve to feel like shit 24/7

I agree with you mostly except for:
>focusing on positive aspects and goals is a good way to remain motivated
There was a big movement on positive thinking and a whole lot psychiatry work done on the premise
that if you fill yourself with a positive attitude and positive thoughts you'll feel happier.
Tl';dr it doesn't work.

If it is a disease why people from primitive cultures dont develop it?
Get 1000 people from jungle, statistically, two of them will shown symptoms of LIGHT depression
Its not a disease, its a fucking effect of sick society and weak heart

depression causes chemical imbalance, brain is a fucking powerfull thing, you can get addicted

Everybody that starts medication gets hooked on it once they stop taking it, and they feel worse
afterwards. It halts their progress and they can't recover, plus it has other negative health
effects as well.

Why? You say "just take the drug, you'll get over it." without giving much thought, and then say
that users shouldn't worry about knowing the long term side effects and getting off the drug with
ease without it screwing you over more.
Taking medication isn't a long term solution in any sense - it needs proper recognition so people
who do have depression can more easily have it treated.

DEPRESSION 101: BABBY TIER HOW SHIT WORKS
Complete lack of motivation to do absolutely anything. This includes getting better from
depression in the first place.
Exercise helps, but you have to be motivated to do it and stick to it.
Medication helps, but you have to be motivated to go through the process of getting it.
Sunlight, socializing (barring any other social disorder shit), sex and shitloads of other things
help it, but they sound about as appealing as listening to someone bitch about their perfect
life. That slow, monotonous, "Why am I doing this, this isn't rewarding at all." applies to
absolutely everything, including basic shit like eating in more extreme cases.

If you would like a comparison, next time you've broken up with your girlfriend of 3 months or
some other minor tragedy occurs, go and stare at a wall for an hour or so. Every single activity
is exactly as pointless feeling as that, and you have that underlying ache going most of the
time. Apply that to everything, every single day. It wears you down.
This might explain why depression isn't a common thing in shitty countries. If you're not
motivated to go out and do your best in the shitty, dangerous life of your area, you can't
reproduce and will probably die shortly.

tip #6
Little king john said I should make potato knishes. he told me that I should turn potato pancakes
into little black squash balls. He then told me not to worry about it, and that I should just
turn little black worms into centipedes.

So full of shit. Your conjecture about has no basis in any fact. The data is all over the place
on what parts of the world present clinical depression the most, with some ranking the US and
Europe highest in diagnoses and others putting the Middle East and North Africa there, but there
is nowhere it is not found. It presents in the third world just as easily as developed countries,
across age, gender and ethnicity.
There's a reason this shit is in the DSM and ICD and talked about in peer-reviewed journals. It's
a disease.
