Is there anything like /f/ (by which I mean the atmosphere) but with actual full length videos
rather than flash files?
I've seen some really nice things on some filesharing sites I frequent, but nothing dedicated to
the medium.
Youtube won't do, since I don't know exactly what I'm looking for.

By atmosphere do you mean kinda like a chill place where people can hang out and discuss what
they just saw?I would recommend Newgrounds, but that's nothing but Shockwave flash.

Where everyone is mostly anon and posts interesting things. I've been using volafile, but that's
not too laden with videos.
A site that does the (temporary) hosting itself would be preferable too, since most hosts have
limits on content and re-encoding.
Also, having extensive descriptions and thumbnails is probably more of a con than a pro for me.

yes, I know. and [threads] are few and far between.

I'm not a fan of it, since I keep getting recommended stuff that's similar to what I already
like, and it only links to other sites rather than having some sort of creativity.
I always think of reddit as a grand scheme to turn humans into a sorting back-end for a search
engine and cataloguing system.
Are there any popular *chan sites with video boards?

Anon, even the most active chans are almost all dead. You know how /f/ used to be really slow a
few years ago, like that, but that state of activity is reserved for the most active boards.
If that doesn't bother you then I suppose there may be one, but unfortunately I do not know of
any. My apologies that I cannot help you anon. Though if you are willing to comb through the
sites yourself there are a few lists of chans like the overchan v3 or allchans, they work sort of
like frames so you should be able to quickly go through the chans and see if they have anything,
though those are not complete lists of the thousands of chans, but they are of some of the more
populated ones. Once again, I'm sorry I can't be of more help even though I am still chiming in,
just wanted to put my two cents out there.
