The three lines were important to Prince Oberyn because they were part of his all-consuming main
goal in life since his sister's murder. Meanwhile, The Mountain isn't some witty poet-- he's not
going to be spouting hilarious or quotable one-liners throughout the fight-- he's a brutal,
merciless executioner.
The lines actually added a lot to the fight IN THE BOOK because Gregor followed each of the three
lines with a punctuating assault on Oberyn.

All of the Stark children were/are "wargs" (Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran, Rickon, and even Jon) in
that they had a special connection with their wolves that allowed them to see through their eyes
basically (although they can't control other animals). The reason Robb didn't come back is
because his wolf was killed as well, and if Sansa dies she dies permanently because her wolf was

That's why you should watch Game of Thrones, it's not just counter-mainstream (i.e. almost none
of the main characters have plot armor, the supposedly "good" guys don't always win in the end,
and there's no obvious cut-and-dry good and evil) but a really involved twist of intricate
politics and exciting fantasy.
The show does leave out a lot of the finer plot details, which loses some of the charm of the
author's incredible skill in crafting intertwining story lines and believable, relate-able
characters (even the "evil" ones like Cersei have understandable and relate-able motives like
protecting her children).
