This doesn't pertain to just frogs mind you. Unlike western slaughter houses where we kill them
frist, hang them down, cut them to drain out fluids they often hang them first and skin them and
leave them to die beforehand. Much like we do with game meat without killing them first.

It's actually not reflex, the frog's circulatory organs are further up in its body and the lower
half is seared to prevent overly rapid loss of body fluids and increase the pain (and thus the
adrenalin and flavor). It's still very much alive until it suffocates.
They do similar things with other small game like birds, dogs, cats, and fish. This is often done
in homes with a low heated stovetop, but never a blowtorch (as it damages nerve endings and
