Am I the only one who finds this kind of thing a bit morbid? I get they're "just ants" but that's
literally just throwing molten aluminum on a few million alive things. (Doubtful that they found
a way to evacuate a nest)

I don't know, it just seems kind of shitty to do that then say "It's for education!" When in
reality they guy is just throwing molten metal down a hole, killing shit, and then selling it.

ethics are the way you have related your own feelings to the feelings of the things around you

feelings are when your body temp is high/low, blood pressure is high/low, and though process is
  fast/slow

you apply these feelings to memories, and then something becomes evil or good in your terms

some people cut themselves and jack off because it actually feels good, not bad. They have
  assimilated this connection

There are children and adults that would kill any ant regardless, because they were bitten by one

you assimilate with the ants and feel yourself a feeling for them. You choose to.

Some find articulate interest in the structure, and understand the end of the chain reaction in
the ants and how it has ended because of the chain reaction that is you (him whatever)

Sort of. Collectively, ethics intend to affect a culture or large group of people and are meant
  to be systemic.

A good distinction is this: Morally speaking, murder is often considered inherently wrong, but
ethically speaking, violence is a tool, and the ethical nature of an event involving violence can
only be correctly assessed with all of the set up present. Self-defense is largely considered
wholly ethical. Cold-blooded violence is often considered completely unethical.

The difference is morals apply so variously that it really can differ person to person on things.
Ethics are things we often consider "laws", though I don't really like that word because ethics,
too, have a nature of subjectivity to them.

Learn the damaged man as a new animal. Maybe he is at home in a sandbox with some peanutbutter

  and apply it to him

They are fire ants and an invasive pest in aus where it was filmed that kill off other native ant
  species.

The method used is cleaner than any alternative really as well.

It is morbid when you think though that the lifespan of a fire ant can be around 3 years with
most ants living for at least 1.5 years. That nest would have thousands of ants so the life lost
could be more than 15,000 years I suppose.

My definition of evil must be very different to yours.

Evil for me is an act that benefits nobody not even the person doing it and impedes himself and
  all others.
If an act has a minute benefit like; it makes the person happy, they learn from it, it makes them
more successful then that act is ok.

Provided some gain is obtained from an act it is not evil or bad. A good reason for me is a
single ridiculous positive result. There is not much evil in my world. Killing for fun is not
evil. Killing is only evil if nobody benefits from it.

If you are interested though check out this stuff on youtube... there is a giant one in Africa
