The things that set 4chan apart from those websites are as follows:
A. No opinion is vocally above the rest. All opinions from all people can be seen equally, which
leaves it without a bias but also with lots of shit posting.
B. While other websites hate, 4chan hates everything including itself. Very few people, even
4chan browsers, will acknowledge itself as anything but a cesspool, leaving it a community that
doesn't take itself seriously anymore and has a lot of self-deprecation.

All the rage I see on this site daily makes me pretty sure there's a lot of people that take this
place way more seriously that what it's healthy for them.
On the other hand, i've also tons of great content being churned out contasntly. Hell, /v/, our
shittiest active board craeted one hell of a musical about the state of the industry. And that is
just what /v/ has done recently. Lots of boards have made great new content.
We know there's shit, but I don't think we can claim we are shit.

And it's the cool thing to do. 4chan is the only remaining community, big enough to be in the
alexa rating and maintain almost complete disregard to acceptance of social issues of that of
liberalism as well as not be so far right that we believe a gun goes into the hands of every baby
at birth.
Really the reason why this place is such a cesspool is due to our own success, bringing in so
many people that it toppled. /co/'s popularity in 2010 (which all came from tumblr and spread
like wildfire when moot released /lgbt/ and /soc/), /v/'s popularity in 2009 and /b/'s popularity
in 2007 with palin, bomb threats, Project Chanelogy and the countless raids on SL, Haboo and the
lesser extent Gaia.

As popularity grew, other communities didn't lose members, they just used both. Taking content
from here and reposting it over there. Effectively shutting down our "meme factory", as new
content, with the same formula, was used on their originating sites.
4chan really did change the world, and it's because of being acknowledged by too many people that
