  No shit sherlock, her whole purpose other that marketing is for you to be able to use her voice
  to make songs.
  Vocaloids are not people and are just software with characters that go along with the voice that
  is being marketed so that they are more appealing.
  Miku is now a "pop idol", but she is basically the first really popular pop idol that was a
  character and not an actual person which makes her stand out and gathers a lot of fans because
  it's something that hasn't been done a lot before.
  She is over-marketed as fuck and isn't my favorite Vocaloid, but at the same time it's just a
  software and is something that hadn't been done much before/was the first thing like this to get
  so much recognition so people are big fans.
  Of course there's going to be a lot of marketing involving Miku and there's nothing to get so
  pissy about.
