The Mother games are so good.
So uplifting as a whole, yet individual parts of them are the most depressing things in the
world. I remember being Earthbound, the scene where Ness returns home and has his favorite meal
with his family. And Mother 1 is a fucking heart break, the plot of it is "save the Earth from an
alien who desperately wants to love his human parents, but isn't allowed to". Mother 3 has the
most depressing intro and finale. In that game they give you the option to go to your mothers at
the start of every single chapter. With out even saying a word about it to the player, they're
aware to go there. And the fucking villain has simply gone insane through the fact that he can't
die. Man those games are fucking gems.
