Space game dev, checking in. I've added (visual) explosions and fixed the issues with parallaxing
starfields. However, the way I draw them might be kind of slow on Flash. Let me know if it's too
laggy and I'll see what I can do.
Some items on my todo list:
- NPC ships
- Governments/factions
- Local minimap + compass
- Galaxy map + hyperspace jumping
- Docking/landing on stations/planets
- More ship types
- More weapons
- Sounds
- Better sprites for everything

too much parallax on the stars, maybe lower it and increase the star count, also the bullet is
fired from the center of the ship, so if you rotate and fire it comes out of the ship to the left
or to the right

I like to slow down and try to match the speed of the asteroids.
Even if its just a wip its super relaxing and i like it.

It took me a little while to realize the circles had no collision.

If you plan on putting sound effects, make sure its kinda 'blocked' like its behind a wall or
something because you can hear sounds in space and it would really raise the immersion feeling.

I can't wait for power ups where you make auto-fire so it would be more enjoyable destroying
