So what was the deal of this commercial?
That there are no accidents, only workplace safety fuck ups?
>> [_] Anonymous 09/08/14(Mon)01:50 No.2519536
>>2519522
no, its that you never think that accidents are going to happen (duh, thats why they're called
accidents). So take preventative measures before accidents happen.
>> [_] Anonymous 09/08/14(Mon)01:53 No.2519538

Actually if you bothered to read the website, it says everything is preventable
>At the WSIB, we believe that everyone from the part-time student to the CEO needs to take
personal responsibility for keeping themselves and their workplaces healthy and safe. When you’re
educated and aware, all injuries are preventable. There really are no accidents.

It's important to find a balance between the two. I used to work in a garage cutting metal on big
machinery, and every time I would use our lathe, I would take every precaution and check
everything thrice. My boss would always tell me I was going to slow, but I never went faster than
I was comfortable with. Ever since I saw that picture of a guy ripped nearly in half on one of
those since his sleeve got snagged, I have been terrified of those things.

in my place it is standard policy that nothing larger than your average teapot may be carried
around unless empty. content has to be filled into transportation box (which can be closed)
before moving.
definitely not all, but THIS accident could be prevented.

This is garbage. I had the same scenario. Carrying a big pot of boiling water and slipped on a
ticket that fell to the floor, good thing I let my fucking foot go into the splits and slammed my
knee into the tile floor breaking the damn tile and bruising my knee. The pot? Still steady in my
hands just atg a lower elevation.
