  While this is very tragic, the officer could have saved his life if he shot sooner. The vet stood
  in the door of his car loading his rifle while the officer just yelled at him to stop. The vet
  obviously wasn't loading the gun in so that he could go to the shooting range with the officer
  and share a bowl of ice cream afterwards.

  Apparently when he was asked why he kill the officer his response was "Because he let me"
