The transformation sequences are always done in super-HQ. Just like the monsters exploding are
always done in paper-mache. Its just their thing.
As for not watching the whole thing in one go, dat be pleb tier. one of the few anime id actually
say is worth watching (but then thats obvious - P&S is literally what you get when you get studio
gainax wasted, they went on a vacation to celebrate Gurren Lagann's success and vowed that
whatever drunken ideas they had while away would become their new show - and they did not
disappoint).
