>> Anon 67238 doesn't work in the browser, works offline in flash projector probably would work in the browser if the embed was instructed to enable Stage3D. however most sites dont have Stage3D enabled since it disables other things in the flash, such as blur or glow filters if i remember correctly? it really is a pity that Adobe decided to abandon flash instead of fixing it. flash can do so much. the unity game engine could even export 3D games directly to swf files back in 2012 and early 2013 https://blogs.unity3d.com/2013/04/23/sun setting-flash/ >When we started working on a Flash deployment add-on some 18 months ago we had high hopes for the future of Flash as a gaming platform. The performance of early builds was promising, and Adobe seemed to be dedicated to making it a success. Since then much has changed. adobe even briefly launched their own store where you could buy flash games (similar to an app store). i think it was in 2012? but they shut it down around a year later. no profit no interest, but i wonder if it could have been made profitable in some way. of course Apple and Google are also to blame for the decline of flash with the refusal to let swf files onto iPhone and refusal to let swf files onto YouTube. and then again in 2017 all the major browsers banded together and decided that people shouldn't be allowed to enjoy flash files after 2020, again an abandonment of flash instead of fixing it. there's no reason why a browser shouldn't be able to play a swf file natively just like it is able to "play" a jpg or an audio file. any issues can be fixed but of course it's easier to abandon.
