There is literally nothing wrong with using VLC
Marked for deletion (old).

Well maybe if you didn't watch shitty anime VLC wouldn't try and stop you.

I honestly dig the aesthetic of this project. Can you experiment with more animes and possibly
children's shows?

VLC is fine. It just lags behind the stupid whimsies of anime fansubbing groups with their
10-bit, h.265, million of experimental encoding options, all the useless subtitles effects, etc.
People who don't watch anime have no complains about VLC.

because they're fucking plebs.
I've noticed it with ponies. VLC fucks up the colour space transformations and any scaling badly.
use mpv with vo=opengl-hq

also, what encoding options people used do not matter with a standard compliant decoder. The
H.264 bitstream is set in stone. Encoders keep developing, but they adhere to the spec while
doing so. If your decoder is giving a wrong output, it's simply broken.

I use VLC on my Ubuntu laptop, without any problems what-so-ever. Sounds like whiny babies can't
figure out how to work it. And just because you go whining, I've watched my fair share of animes
on it without problems either.

What the fuck? Use mplayer you retarded pleb.
It will play anything, perfectly, forever.

use mpv, it's an mplayer2 fork which in of itself is an mplayer fork. mplayer2 was forked because
the mplayer developer circlejerk didn't like some guy making improvements. mplayer2 later died
but mpv picked up where it left off and did a lot of great shit since then.

MPC is best player for windows.
Anyone who has a compliant about MPC is absolutely retarded.
It works perfect, loads quick, and doesn't give a damn about skins or non-im-a-fucking-vide
o-player features.

I assume the consumers of skins are so autistic that they aren't regularly seen by other humans.

mpv is the most active of all mplayer variations, so you should probably stop chasing after dead
projects.
also, see https://github.com/mpv-player/mpv/blob/master/DOCS/man/changes.rst
The fragmentation was provoked by the mplayer team themselves, if you're against fragmentation of
projects, don't support the people who cause it. Fun fact: The same people who forced the guy to
create mplayer2 later tried to take over the FFmpeg project but were denied by a large portion of
FFmpeg developers, which lead to the circlejerk then creating the Libav fork which is now dying.
