Definitely not base game or the ledge-hog Ike did at the end wouldn't have worked. 99% sure Marth
was within range for grabbing the ledge. Base game doesn't let you ledge-hog while you're
climbing.
The fall speed and general flow of the game is also significantly faster than what I remember
base game playing like. Besides all of that, I don't think there are any base game tournaments
anymore... The competitive scene has moved on to Project M.
Contrary to what bad players think, wavedash is not always used in pro play. Especially with Ike
and Marth who don't have particularly noteworthy wavedashes. I don't see any part of that play
that would have been improved with the use of wavedash. I do, however, see at least one L-cancel,
which, IIRC was taken out of Brawl and restored in Project M.
