Block, or parry?
If would've blocked he would've died to chip and/or been chipped out afterwards ridiculously easy.
Parrying it is difficult, but honestly, prime 3S players had that relatively down due to Chun
being played all the time (top tier). The big thing about this moment was where it was, the
clutchness, and the players that were on stage.
Also, in case you were asking what it takes in general to block / dodge / parry Chun's super, you
have to be inputting whatever you're gonna do BEFORE the flash. So when she flashes, if you
aren't holding up/block/ tapping parry / invincible move, you're boned.

rather than just blocking all of the hits which would of dealt chip damage and killed him daigo
decided to parry all of the attacks.

The weird thing about parrying that particular super is the fact that the first attack's
animation lags behind when it actually lands. The rest is just standard parry fare. What made
that especially awesome is that he used an air block to give him the time to cancel out of the
block, drop, and counter with his own super before she could recover from the super's lag.
Clutch stuff.
