I've heard people say that before, but nobody ever mentions why it's better. I've used VLC for
years and never had a single problem with it. I'm perfectly willing to switch if someone will
actually tell me why it's better, and not just "Look at the flash. That's VLC."

I would say the same thing, I never had any problems with vlc. Does this shit actually happens to
people?

Not him, but VLC has inaccurate colors, occasional corruption on seeking, subtitles lag behind a
bit when seeking, it isn't automatically set to full dynamic range and the colors are washed out
because of this, etc.
Personally, I don't think cccp is necessary. If someone wants to use MPC-HC, then all they need
to install alongside it is madvr. I use BakaMPlayer myself, which is based on mpv.
I was like you. VLC was "good enough." But when you try other stuff, it just doesn't stand up.

>Personally, I don't think cccp is necessary
It's not, really. IMO CCCP is obsolete, and only serves those using outdated pieces of shit that
barely support anything beyond the basic formats that have been around since Windows 95 (or
earlier). There are a number of players now that can be used without having to install even a
single supporting component, and still handle practically anything you could throw at them
perfectly fine, provided your computer itself isn't an archaic piece of dinosaur shit.
