A couple of weeks ago, a fellow here mentioned Oyasumi Punpun as a recommendation to those who
liked NHK, but I can't seem to find it in the archives so I'm beginning to think I made it up.

Yeah, to be honest I didn't think the ending to NHK was handled in the best way either, but it's
still one of my favorite shows.
It's rare for a show to touch me on a personal level the way Oyasumi Punpun and NHK has.
I don't know if one can spoiler here, so I wont try. But shit, the ending of Punpun devastated me.
I'm actually still a tiny bit confused about the events leading up to the ending. In any
reasonable first world country, what happened would easily qualify as self defense. Does Japan
have shitty self defense laws or what?
And finally, does anyone have any recommendations in line with these two? And should I try to get
a hold of the NHK novel?
