[_] Big Brain Time Anon 3398497
>> [_] Anon 3398498 The objective is not clear. What're we trying to do?
>> [_] Anon 3398510 >># I'm assuming that the objective is to get all of them to be the same symbol. You choose 8 patterns in each round, if you manage to repeat the same pattern the count goes down but none get added to the list, after that you get as many different pieces as different patterns you found. If you managed to go down to one pattern every piece would be the same and so you would be "stuck" there, which I guess is considered winning.
>> [_] Anon 3398511 >># first you figure out how the system works then you try to do something within the system
>> [_] Anon 3398513 I managed to do it in 2 rounds in what I consider to be a rather reliable way. Counterintuitive though.
>> [_] Anon 3398514 >># yeah if you realize how it works then it's a matter of luck theoretically you can solve it in one turn
>> [_] Anon 3398515 >># >yeah if you realize how it works then it's a matter of luck I've done this 4 times in a row now. Technically I guess some luck is required but yeah this is reliable, only it always takes at least 2 rounds. Just try to grab 8 different shapes in the first round, then in the second round you go for the shape that is 4 different tiles, since you have 8 different kind of tiles it's pretty easy to find them.
>> [_] Anon 3398539 I can't believe how long it took me to figure this shit out...
>> [_] Anon 3398574 >># >get it on my second round Feels good to be smart, bros.
>> [_] Anon 3398587 For all the brain geniuses out there,
its a matching game. If a block matches another block a line is drawn between their corners in the resultant shape. At the end of a round all the resultant shapes become the blocks of the next round. The goal is to make the same shape 8 times in a row in one round, granting you the end screen. A good strategy is to split the pool in 4 vertical columns and see which shapes you can repeat the most starting from the top and going down. Best results is 4 of a single shape obviously but if youre getting less than 2 of a single shape check to see if shapes can be made on the 3 imaginary lines spliting the columns. Always remove blocks top to bottom so you dont fuck confirmed shapes below. Be sure to check new blocks being added before removing any lower blocks. Have fun trying to clear it in the first round.
>> [_] Anon 3398588 >># Yeah good job there on that spoiler tag brain genius

>> [_] Anon 3388752 reminds me of puzzle pirates
>> [_] Anon 3388765 A winrar is me! Fun, thanks OP.
>> [_] Anon 3388770 When you click on a section, you make a new tile in the 'vocab' section. The new tile is defined by having lines connecting all the identical tiles in the original section, e.g. if all the tiles were distinct, it's four dots, if they were all the same, it's the boxed X. You must perform eight clicks per round (this is the vertical indicator between the board and the vocab). Once you've used all eight clicks, a new board is made using only the shapes from the vocab section in the prior round. If you finish a round and have only one shape in the vocab section, you win. Your goal here is to minimize the number of new shapes you make. Most of the time you can win in 2 to 4 rounds.

>> [_] Anon 2953310 U make it harder on yourself the more combinations you create in the vocab box. you want as few as possible because the less types you have in that right hand box the less types youll have on the left- u win when theyre all the same

If, for example, the bottom two were the same but the upper two were different (and different from each other) then you'll get a tile on the right hand side with the bottom dots connected by a line, while the top dots are not connected to any other. Then, try to find similar sets of tiles on the left hand side, to get as few tiles on the right hand side as possible, because that will be the number of different kinds of tiles in the next round. e.g.: I select a b c c so I get * * --- on the right. Then, I select c d e e This has the same structure, so there will still only be one * * --- tile on the right side. Lets say I can't find another one like this right now, but I see two sets of tiles with the same structure a b c b b a,b c when I select one of them I get X on the right side.

>> [_] Anon 2355366 meh, it wasn't hard to grasp the basic concept after a few round but it wasn't particularly entertaining, that's for sure. I didn't realize what the goal was though, so that finding that out made the game more of a puzzle, which was nice.
>> [_] Lockwert !nnIgGerRZ. 2355372 >># I get your point but I'd say the premises are different I didn't finish the game you posted yet, but just by seeing it I'd say it's some sort of sudoku. This game I posted is somewhat a new concept to puzzling, a basic concept that could be worked on. But it's so simple the challenge actually comes in finding it out yourself. The stimulus can be gotten on the first board exchange. You see the symbols, you understand what creates them, and you can basicaly understand how to make your job easir since it's the only actual thing you can do.

The former does make it easier to achieve the latter, though. When you have eight possible tiles, it's a lot easier to pick out the same combination in all of them.

>> [_] Anon 1987222 Okay So I'm gonna write instructions for everyone here. Lines connecting under constructed vocabulary means that the tiles were THE SAME. So a triangle with a hypotenuse going from bottom left to top right means the bottom left, top left, and top right symbols were the same. Same goes for lines up and down on the right or left side, sideways, or all 4 of the same symbol (a box with an x in the middle). Dots mean individual symbols not connected to anything. The goal is to get all of the symbols to match with ONE PATTERN formed in constructed vocabulary. This is where the game offers you choice, and it becomes easier the less constructed vocabulary you have made per round.

>> [_] Anon 1987274 MFW people have no comprehensive ability, when I picked up on it on the first round Basically, for the lazy: Clicking on tile sets will add that to your vocabulary, based on matching tiles Try to complete a round using only one tile-set ie: finishing a round using only groups of 4 where, say, the top two tiles match, and the bottom two are different from the rest (represented by a horizontal line over two dots, because vocabulary matches the two and forms a line, the others do not match and are represented by individual dots) What people mean is that the vocabulary is not specific to certain tiles - a set of 4 green tiles is the same as a set of 4 blue tiles, since they both form the same diagram

>> [_] Anon 1987279 >># >Now every game has to give it all chewed? >Oh, yep, true. Totally forgot about that.. Other games pull this off just fine without throwing shit in your face like a baby. You press a button, you see a response on the screen (movement, jumping). You associate button presses with this response in the future. It's feedback the player uses in the future to become better at the game. You could even use a sound to indicate a good or a bad move. Or even to just indicate that the board is resetting after you use up all your moves (which is what I assume they are). When I click a box with 3 of the same block, and see a vocabulary with 3 lines, this is a positive feedback to the player. When I click another similar combination, and that doesn't appear as a vocabulary, it is a negative feedback. Why did this one not work when the first did? It creates confusion.
>> [_] Anon 1987284 >># There's no good and bad vocabulary. The feedback about good and bad comes after you finish some 8-move rounds. The point is to keep it simple, it does not matter what words you use, but how many of them. The learning curve here is just different from the norm, and there's people who appreciate it.
>> [_] Anon 1987286 >># >># I know, but it was already explained, so I tried to make it more child-friendly I was hoping, that by discovering how it worked, it would help them be more observant in the future Otherwise, they would play it, not understand it, check the comments for a solution, not find one, leave a hateful comment due to their own stupidity, and leave... end of story, nothing accomplished at least this way they can hate with some understanding of what they are hating in the first place
>> [_] Anon 1987288 >># There's a point
>> [_] Anon 1987290 >># LELELELELELELE
>> [_] Anon 1987294 >># That's because you have completely misunderstood the entire goal of the game - which is to minimize your vocabulary, you win when you complete a round with only one pattern If you had understood this, then after the appearance of the first pattern, the lack of additional vocabulary IS the positive feedback, rather than negative as you have misinterpreted.
>> [_] Anon 1987295 >see interesting challenge on /f/ >open game >wtf is this >don't know if i'm winning or losing >close game >move on with life
>> [_] Anon 1987297 >># day in the life of a tool
>> [_] Anon 1987298 So I take it there's no win animation, it just keeps repeating?
>> [_] Anon 1987300 >># There is a win animation. You probably didn't win
>> [_] Anon 1987304 >># Constructing vocabulary in this context appears as a goal of the game. Clearly you intended for it to be the opposite, since you win by using the smallest vocabulary. This is what I meant by feedback. The game isn't a bad game, quite the opposite. But you trick players into thinking they need to do one thing, when in fact you win by doing the opposite. It's like if you played GTA and when you go to the end of the game, you were thrown in prison and executed for all the people you killed, and then telling the player that "lol, you weren't supposed to be a bad person!"
>> [_] Anon 1987305 >># Huh. You can't repeat symbols on the right, yeah? I guess you have to use all the same blocks on the left to construct the symbols on the right?
>> [_] Anon 1987307 >># rather the opposite
>> [_] Anon 1987310 >># But there's a moment when you get that it won't lead to anything - that's the point on your life when you have to decide between hating on the game or keep playing until you get the real purpose Actually, if the game was only about doing what you should to win, it would be no fun at all. The fun part is cracking the methods and actually getting to a point where you win, disregarding all process inbetween
>> [_] Anon 1987312 Fill your constructed vocab in your first round with as much as you can, then second round get 4 dots. That was the easiest method
>> [_] Anon 1987315 i understand it now but the game itself is rather unintuitive. the symbols are misleading because they coincide with the patterns you could form yet the image itself has no meaning. it's more logical to assume that the images on both sides would correlate with each other and i wouldn't blame anyone for being tricked from following that line of reasoning.
>> [_] Anon 1987316 >># But that takes 2 rounds
>> [_] Anon 1987318 >># also, bragging about winning on the 1st round is ridiculous because for a game based on "logic", it's not always possible to win on the first round. that's like bragging about winning a game of solitaire on your first try (3 draw).
>> [_] Anon 1987319 >># For 1 round then everything has to line up and drop into place just right, on your first panel. So it's down to mainly luck
>> [_] Anon 1987320 >># There's a bit of skill into it when it comes to perceiving what pattern will be the most common given your choices
>> [_] Anon 1987322 You know what, I'm done being angry at this game Congrats OP, you have created one of the only threads on /f/ to get this many posts. I'm sure this was your intention the whole time. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
>> [_] Anon 1987323 >># of course, there's strategies to increase your winning odds, but like solitaire it's impossible to know what's coming next.
>> [_] Anon 1987327 >># I'm glad that people, even the hating ones, are still willing to engage in a discussion about gaming, it's objectives, logic and much more

>> [_] Anon 1987335 >># If you fill the construed vocab on the first round, there is a good chance of winning on round two, by just getting 4 dots as your constructed. That's the only way i can seem to win in 2 rounds
>> [_] Anon 1987337 OK, that ending animation was right on par with beating 1942. At least it was grammatically correct.
>> [_] Anon 1987339 >># And then I beat it in a single round. Huh.
