[_] Anon 3504589 i recommend against marriage. depends on country but in the west the social contract of marriage is broken: it's super easy to get a divorce, nobody thinks worse of the man/woman after the divorce, and nobody equates cheating on your spouse with burning in hell anymore. there's little point, only complicates a breakup and costs you half your stuff. you can be together with someone and have children and build a life without the burden of marriage. you can put on rings to signal your "taken" status and symbolize your love without any legal paper. you can even have a ceremony for it with friends and family outside the system. easy to say if your woman is hellbent on a real marriage but that's my 2 cents. marriage is a especially bad deal for men since the social value goes down for women over time while it goes up for men. with divorce being so easy there's no reason to get married until you've been together for 30-40 years and just want to solidify legal matters regarding inheritance.
