But then the author ressurected him and revealed that HOHO HE WASNT USING EVEN 1% OF HIS TRUE POWER. Bah. I know some people might think that pulling new secret moves out again and again is fun but... no. Not to mention how embarrasing Bleach got sometimes with strange jokes and strange animation that I don't think belonged in the otherwise overall atmosphere of the series. I could ignore that but when I realized the author just made shit up as he went along and never planned ahead I gave up on the series. Sorry for my rant but it pisses me off a bit when anime series does this stuff.

Also instead of Krillin dying on a regular basis to implement the so called Worf-effect Ichigo is the one getting a beating once in a while. It's still stupid but at least they make the resulting struggle part of his character rather than making, like you said it, shit up as they go along. The best example is Ichigos inner hollow. It makes a damn lot more sense than freaking super sayians and most of it's variants in other shows.
