or songs made in their alter egos POV, or just straight cynical/parody tales. Anyone who believes
otherwise is just a fool.

statement? Or that Dr Dre saying that every woman is a hoe is his personal views, while himself

C'mon people, think for one second. Just like rockstars play the excess of life (sex, drugs and
rock n roll), rappers also play with those tropes. That's why in many lyrics you may heard how
they say that things are getting "too real", or how they turned into a monster while playing the
"rap game"
Acting tough is a big part of rap because it started as a duel of rhymes and beats. It will never
leave the genre. Some are massive tools for sure, but many are aware of the impact about what
they say, and a surprisingly number of rappers actually make themselves a parody of the whole
thing.
