guys in order: Top guy, right guy, left guy
>> [_] Anonymous 02/23/15(Mon)07:03 No.2697888
Nice puzzle, but I feel like there's supposed to be some kind of message I'm not getting here
>> [_] Anonymous 02/23/15(Mon)07:58 No.2697939
That's it? Really. Fucking really.
So this game is trying to say that successful people have broken all of their promises to be
successful. Or is it that success drives one to forget their promises? Or maybe the end justifies
the means.
Or how's about go fuck yourself. The characters have no emotions and the puzzles are easier to
beat than an infant with amuptated limbs. There's no reason for me to feel like I've betrayed
someone. If I did I'll just pay them back and apologize after I'm done fucking the king's
daughter and getting some money.

Pretty nice message IMO.
If you want to be sucessfull you only need to keep your promises untill you're on top. When
you're the boss, no need to kiss ass no more.

Just that people break their promises all the time and before you make a serious promise you need
to really think about it.
>>2697939
Jesus, you're pessimistic as shit.

How is that pessimistic? He just said this game is stupid. I don't see how that is pessimistic.
>> [_] Anonymous 02/23/15(Mon)08:28 No.2697951
In this game you don't directly lose for breaking your promises, instead you just have to face
the consequences.
>> [_] Anonymous 02/23/15(Mon)08:35 No.2697957
the game teaches you how to slide through locking shit like honorbound promises to get what you
want.

I kinda like this.
There are a few ways to interpret it, but it's a nice little puzzle.

>>2697950
The interpretation he came away with was a pretty bleak one. I wasn't talking about the quality
of the game. Hence pessimism.

It looked to me like he didn't agree with the interpretations he came away with. So I would
assume he isn't a pessimist.

>>2698048
The other poster still seems to think that the game is about some pretty pessimistic views. I
think you have to have a pessimistic mindset to come away with interpretations like that in the
first place. Pessimistic people can still want the world to be a better place. Cynicism and
pessimism overlap sometimes, but they aren't exclusive to each other.

nope, doesn't work

Anon who said the game sucked here.
It's not that I'm a pessimist, it's just that this is an art game. Art games are usually about
how things are bad or how a person is bad so I went into it with that kind of mindset.
Realistically this is about a man who would do anything to rescue his loved one, but this is an
art game so I assumed the opposite.
>> [_] Anonymous 02/23/15(Mon)11:40 No.2698072
>>2698066
It's no problem, anon. I guess I was just sort of flabbergasted because my interpretation was
like, nowhere near yours. Also, that new interpretation of yours I think is more interesting than
your other one. Because that makes me think about the value of a promise.

Hey, it was my fault not making it very clear in the first place. I've just gotten tired of art
where it really means one thing but the creator says it means another, and that's what I assumed
when I played it.
I'm sorry if my post got anyone upset. I promise it'll never happen again.

To beat the game, you have to visit the top guy first, zig zag to the right guy, then zig zag to
the left guy.
The only way to get to the end is to retrace your steps, move in the same direction more than
once, and go east. You break everyone's promises getting to the girl.
She asks you to swear your love to her. What does your promise to her mean if you're just going
to break it to get to what you want, like you did to everyone else on your way to her?

I can see your frustration, no worries. While I value the artists intentions when going into
creating something, I don't think that it diminishes one's own personal revelations. Long as it
makes you reflect, job well done right?

To be fair, it's not like it takes a very long time for one to get to the end. It's a very, very
short game. Just one puzzle.
