actually, stephen j. gould, paleontologist and staunch opponent of creationsim wrote an
interesting thesis which he debated with dawkins a bit over the years before his untimely demise.
it's called N.O.M.A. which stand for Non-Overlapping MAjesteria. google it. it's a pretty good
solution, if only anyone would try it...

  Believe ? Of course yes.
The problem that all those butthurt fags who fight over whether god exists is the lack of
  understanding what faith is.
This seems to catch you too.
If you check it on the wikipedia you will see that faith is believing something is true without
any undoubtable proof for it being real.
So in the end butthurt atheists are fagots since they want to prove something that is unprovable
in its core, and spit loads of bullshit and pet their ego since they are soooooo intelectual.
On the other hand i consider religion fags even bigger fags, since they are ingorant of the fact
that they believe, so they have literaly 0 arguments to prove gods existance to anything, and yet
the try to spit similar illogical bullcrap the atheist fags do.
So in the end you can believe that evolution and god exist, since we cant prove god didnt take
evolution into account, and we cant prove that god didnt just lie in the bible, and we cant prove
  that god doesnt lie.

  I call smell OP's fedora

This whole God vs Religion battle is ridiculous, but even more so by the people who call
themselves the smart ones, independents and thought free. Having faith will be forever up to no
discussion. Someone believe something. That's it

Now trying to act all intelligent while behaving exactly like a brainwashed cult leader,
expecting the world to convert to Carl Sagan's Cosmos Bible is just as pathetic, and without any
of the good aspects of any religion

I don't remember a single time when fedoratheists visited hospitals or did some charity, but they
do think they are better than anyone else just because religion is EVUL

Yeah, just ask pretty much any sane religious person.
These videos are so fucking ridiculous because they are the fucking essence of a strawman

yes but if the question "how did we get here why do we live" is answered by biology, it takes
  away power from the religions.

If you actually understand how science works, then no you can't because science is the mechanism
for understanding the world and if something is inherently untestable/unverifiable (like trying
to figure out if a god exists) then it is not relevant to science and probably false. That's
  where religion falls in.

I mean you can totally "believe" in both, but one of those things you believe in suggests the
  existence of god is unlikely.

Certainly. Be right about evolution, and wrong about religion. It's so easy, even a catholic can
  do it.

>> [_] Anonymous 03/27/15(Fri)09:19 No.2730404

  >>2730362
Except it's not, because anything that actually exist has to influence the physical world in ways
that are in principle detectable, even if we don't yet have the technology to. To not do that
  means it doesn't exist.

  >and probably false
Uhhh that's not how it works.

The funniest thing about the religion vs. science """""debate""""" is the fact that close to 100%
of the participants don't know fucking shit about either. Most religious people don't even know
enough about religion to have this conversation.

>> [_] Anonymous 03/27/15(Fri)09:21 No.2730406

If I told you we were living in a simulation that was created ten years ago, sure, you could show
me a vinyl record from 1986, but that wouldn't prove me wrong.

it's still a retarded idea, but it can't be disproven by pointing things out that could have been
created as part of the simulation

tl;dr the Godtrix is real, checkmate atheists

I'm not saying that I have that knowledge, but there are both Theologists and an accomplished

>> [_] Anonymous 03/27/15(Fri)09:24 No.2730409

I've been thinkin about it for a while and coudn't find a good answer. Guys can we say that god
designed the universe through a 4.5 billion year process and an intelligent being like us, humans
were the outcome of it? I mean defenetly god didn't just made humans which are compatible with
earth situation and then send them there to live?

Read about some other religions than the typical western religions (I.e Christianity and
Judaism). Not saying you should convert, but they are based on a way of thinking very different
from your own, worth it if you want to widen your perspective of God/theism.

Valid point. I like to beliefe (= does not mean it's true) that god started the evolution because
it would combine both. Kinda beautiful. Im a sane christian who tolerates anyones beliefe btw,I
can't prove anyone wrong while you can't prove me wrong which is why it's kinda pointless to
  argue about it anyway.
