  Fuel dude for air force here, this is true, but its true in the sense that Dr Pepper is like 95%
  water.

  Jp8 is some nasty stuff though. The smell sticks to you forever and not only are the fumes heavy
  and will eventually overwhelm you, the density of jp8 is low enough thats its impossible to swim
  in. So if you fall in a tank your 100% done.

  That being said at least its pretty safe compared to the old stuff.

  cutting to the crash scene, it would have been a lot funnier and more cohesive than playing the
  entire sequence from the movie.

  I can agree with that, it would have a better effect with just his takeoff, then the sound bite,
  then directly to the crash scene.
