God, that stuff from the turn of the century to the 1940s, nothing else like it.
I try listening to indy stuff but nothing has ever matched that sound or feel.
Ever.
This music that evokes the feeling of something lost.
At times it sounds best when it sounds like it's in a large chamber at the far end of the hall,
receding away.
Where you only hear the echos of the music that was once played, yet now gone.
