Nuclear reactors have so many redundancies that you would have to physically destroy all of the
safety mechanisms and deprogram all of the computers, and that's assuming we're not dealing with
a fast reactor.
Even if you did all those things and somehow managed to find a generation II thermal reactor, you
would still get a slow meltdown that took weeks instead of one big explosion.
Hatred is a hilariously stupid game with resplendent bad publicity. Watching the butthurt is pure
joy, but it's a shame that they went with the le exploding nuclear power cliche. Forget the
violence and thinking of the children, I want lower energy prices. Every time a reactor explodes
in a game or in a movie it convinces the average voter that paying outrageous CO2 taxes is better
than having evil nuclear power.

You're not wrong, but that doesn't excuse it from not achieving far from what it could have. It's
like those movies that are so stupid, they become cult classics or movies that are fun to watch
because they are so dumb; Hatred pulls off the edgy shit good, but that's it.
The game looks nice, the explosive and fire effects look great for a top down shooter, BUT that's
that. The game just wash and repeats itself for a mere 3.5-4 hours of gameplay, there's only 3-4,
maybe 5 if i missed a special, execution animations and the environments don't vary too much from
one and other. Couple that with the poor vehicle and AI performance in game and its not that
great.
tl;dr : Game can be edgy all it wants to satire the real world, but that doesn't save it from
being a bland game.
