First of all, why the fuck is that thing requiring a button press when everything else is
wireless?
Second, why didn't he just plant a nuke below the button and kill all the avengers? Surely his AI
brain should have predicted they all would defend that spot.

does the same with wireless connctions.
second, that would be effective, but he needs the island to reach enough height in order to cause
enough damage to the earth before simply killing them all, and setting off a nuke would
undoubtedly damage the device causing the island to fall, if not fracture and disintigrate.
this is at a cursory glance having seen the movie once btw. not that im defending it or marvel.
tbh, the movie kinda sucked. not as bad as fanboys are saying, but as this flash implies, it had
way too many moving parts.

his main objective was to kill off the avengers the entire movie so he could have had that island
just being a trap. after the avengers were dead he could have killed off the rest of the earth.
my main gripe is probably that the fast dude could have killed off stark in the beginning of the
movie but didnt. he obviously hated him the most because he told a sob story later about lying
under a bed for two days looking at a bomb with the name "stark" on it. after learning that the
character just seemed so fake and im-just-in-a-movie like.

also why are lasers so weak in the movie? even that asian scientist-lady got hit with a lengthy
dose of laser but just brushed it off. barely scathed her clothes
