I had to deal with a woman like this when I was a kid. My last year of elementary school was when
Pokemon took off and got really popular. We were all hopelessly addicted to it. I made the
mistake of talking about Pokemon in front of a newish friend's mom, unknowing how deeply
religious his family was. His family and mine attended the same church, only my family wasn't
particularly devout.
Once she heard the word Pokemon uttered fro my mouth, she practically started frothing at the
mouth and yelled at me, and asked if I was corrupting her son by exposing him to magic, and how
"deeply sad" my parents and God must feel for me, and told me that she was going to have a stern
talking to with my parents for allowing their child to get involved with such sacrilegious things.
