I have no love for cops, but he killed the dude over a traffic stop. >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)17:37:17 No.2828389 >>2828378 i dont understand why they didnt just inject him the moment they agreed on it. it couldnt possibly take 15 years to prepare the injection. apparently the court found the guy guilty because he killed in a cruel manner or some shit, but isnt putting the guy in prison for 15 years before he is guaranteed death more cruel than that? >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)17:48:07 No.2828398 >>2828389 Because of appeals, lawsuits filed on his behalf, and a shitton of other legal wrangling that has to be cleared before someone can be executed. >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)17:49:11 No.2828401 >>2828398 isnt all of that settled before they decide to execute him? and if not, then why not? >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)17:51:26 No.2828407 >>2828401 No, it's settled after the sentence has been handed down, and has to be taken care of before he's strapped into the gourney. It's clear his lawyers tried for years to have his sentence commuted. >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)17:53:16 No.2828409 >>2828407 law is stupid. >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)17:56:16 No.2828415 >>2828409 He has his right to appeal. And when it's that or death, most people continue trying. >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)18:03:37 No.2828421 >>2828415 I can understand the desire to escape death, but I mean... do you really want to appeal to spend your entire life in prison? After a decade of that, just put me down. Is living in a concrete box for the rest of your life really better than the release of death? >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)18:24:15 No.2828447 Honestly, with guys like this, it's just. I. Okay, I'm not an inherently terrible human being, but seeing people do this shit to other human beings over menial things just for the power trip of it makes me wish that cruel and unusual punishment as a punishment for the murder of another person were legal. I would've wanted to have his fingers and toes cut off slow, and his limbs thereafter. People like that are fucked, and deserve an exponentially more tortuous death than they deal unto those they've harmed. >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)18:28:28 No.2828454 >>2828447 Better that death sentance imho. Also, the guy is a Vietnam veteran. Of course he is completely nuts, and such behaviour is to be expected with such people (except they followed some kind of mental therapy or some related shit) >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)18:31:28 No.2828456 >>2828447 They should just take you to meet criminals, then they'd get cut to shreds by your edge. The point of a death penalty isn't punishment, it's for when it's been decided that the world would be a better place without you. It's pragmatic, not vengeful. >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)18:33:12 No.2828458 >>2828456 hahaha holy shit that was a good one lmao You make a good point, too. I didn't really look at it that way before. The way I always looked at the law was in terms of just punishment, not what would better the world. To that degree, yeah, I agree that the death penalty is the most reasonable approach. I appreciate your input! >> [_] π/3 !RadianYdsU 06/29/15(Mon)18:33:24 No.2828459 man i fucking love this >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)18:42:41 No.2828471 >>2828421 the guy is obviously not right in the head to begin with if he pulled a gun on a cop in this circumstance. >> [_] Anonymous 06/29/15(Mon)19:03:43 No.2828496 >>2828339 Why the fuck didn't this guy tackle the old man down when he realized he wouldn't listen? Also where the fuck was his partner?
