I think I get it. It select a certain position in an area, and tries to guide itself to said
position, and once it reaches it, it selects another position, and tries to guide itself there,
etc.

Sounds like a basic calculation of velocity, only the narrator tried to dumb it down, failed, and
made it more complicated.
ie: fakevel = current - old
the missile can then use fakevel to orientate itself to the current target
