Credit is needed for purchasing or making exchanges on a large scale, and it would eliminate any form of payment except COD, this would make large scale business transactions which support the very technologies and resource gathering capabilities that provide the base of what everyone lives on from functioning, going to a barter/communism system would eventually result in a degradation of society into small groups hording what they have to keep themselves able to buy what they need and want, and because of the need to have a payment on delivery (no credit) then transactions would cost more and be impractical over long distance, instead of paying with a credit card and having something shipped to your house, youd have to lug an equivelant resource with you to the vendor and then drive it back, or pay someone else to carry it., this would make big business insanely difficult, >> [_] Anonymous 10/15/09(Thu)19:12 No.1092978 and make piracy alot more prevalent, think if a company needs to buy say a load of raw materials to manufacturer something with, so they have to ship a big amount of equivelant cost, or small amount of high value barter material, like gold, to the raw materials seller, instead of a nice safe bank transaction. Pirates would be grabbing ships because EVERYONE would have to carry valuables on them to pay port fees and such, raiders would be hitting any big trucks because they know its either full of barter material, or gold to buy it. This essay is idiotic. >> [_] Anonymous 10/15/09(Thu)19:12 No.1092979 I stopped when I heard "Resource-Based Economy" >> [_] Anonymous 10/15/09(Thu)20:49 No.1093051 You just made the internet boring.
