Apologies about the border-lines; I designed it to be played in a windowed environment.

put some visible borders

Add border lines for sure, even if its just so we can see where the walls are. Maybe add some
sort of functionality where even if i'm holding down the up arrow i can press the right arrow and
it turns right? It's tough to do quick U-turns when i have to press one key after the other. Just
an idea.

wow, that's almost identical to one of the first PC games I ever played. It was a game launched
using QWbasic back in the dos days. It was called Nibbles.
Well done, as others have said, put some borders, and maybe some simple background music and
you're set!
