So, Homestuck... I mean, what the fuck is it even?
Anything I've seen of it online is just stuff like this, and now my niece has a Homestuck
t-shirt...
...is it like an anime for bad animation fans?

About 50% of your comments are asking for sauce.
Just... go back to reddit will you?

Multimedia webcomic about a reality-altering video game, and why it's a bad idea to sequence
break a reality-altering video game.

Sounds complicated.
Is it worth looking into?

Now that it's been made readily apparent that it's going nowhere but downhill after a pretty
solid start, I don't think it is worth subjecting yourself to the inevitable disappointment.

Depends. It's LOADS OF TEXT. Like over 50% Text.
One Fan used a Tool to count all the text and guess how much text the flashes and gifs would be:
http://readmspa.org/stats/#size
>Homestuck is about 274% the size of the Lord of the Rings, 170% the size of the King James
Bible, 122% the size of the Harry Potter series, or 75% the size of A Song Of Ice And Fire (the
five books so far)
The Beginning is a bit slow and confusing but important later on.

The anime description is partly appropriate - Homestuck is like a multi-hundred episode long
anime. It starts off with a solid concept and long running story, but somewhere down the road it
starts having filler and tons of extra characters and plots and general quality goes down. Now,
part of that was because of some extremely shitty real life circumstances that happened to the
author, but that can't take all the blame.
Homestuck is actually just one comic in the MSPA series. If you want a really nice example of the
kind of comic Homestuck is without all the length, check out Problem Sleuth. It and the first bit
of Homestuck were mostly driven by reader commands (remember: video game) so there's tons of fun
shenanigans that happen.

Also It's almost finished
He said there's just 1% left so it SHOULD end in 2016
SHOULD because it technically was supposed to end in 2013 if I remember correctly

it's a webcomic that features flash animations every now and then (and a few flash games), though
it is very different from your average webcomic: There is only one panel per page, and offten a
lot of text. Also the whole thing is one big story, so unlike webcomics like Cyanide&Happiness or
xkcd each page isnt their own joke or story, rather you have to start from the beginning.
Here is where the author discribes it: http://mspaintadventures.com/scraps2/homestuckKS.html
All i can say is:
1) While i enjoyed them, Most people say that the first 3 acts are kind of boring, and some
people recommend getting `1/2 way through act 4 before Judging it, which is kind of dumb because
it would take like 3 hours to get there...
2) Stay away from everything but reddit, For some reason back in 2011 a bunch of autists had to
flock to Homestuck and basically make everyone who likes it look fucking stupid, if you go
anywhere but reddit looking for homestuck fans all you will get is CRINGE.
Heres some kid talking about that subject i guess: https://soundcloud.com/fruityrumpusasshole

I've read all of Homestuck (Or at least what used to be all of homestuck) once, and I'll say:
it's alright. It's got a cool style to it, and the buildup to big moments is really good, but
there's some faggotshit in there, even in the beginning.
I don't know if you heard about them, but Homestuck fans are notorious for being one of the worst
fandoms of all time - think the autism of sonic combined with the faggotry of yaoi. Now, having
read the comic, there ain't a lot of that shit in there, and as long as you ignore the fanbase
the comic is fairly enjoyable. My favorite part was Act 4, when all the cool shit culminated into
one big spectacle (And before the trolls and other faggotshit started creeping its way into the
series).
If you're interested, read the first act. If you don't like its style, don't read on (The style
does not change - if you don't like it then, you won't like it when it gets to cool shit in later
acts, and when it gets bogged down by faggot shit in the acts after that). If you do like the
style, feel free to read on - and stop reading when it gets too tumblry for your liking.
