Yeah, I guess so.
This one's a special case, though. I don't think there's been a new porn board introduced in
quite some time.
I firmly believe that with a dedicated western porn board, there is going to be a much larger
influx of normalfags and undesireables, which is why I don't want one to be created. How about
you?
Also, what happened to Anon D? Is he now Mr. D or something?
What do you think about the overall quality of new flashes being produced? I just don't think
it's the same.

>>2917349
I couldn't say about Anon D... but I do agree the quality of OC here has slid considerably since
swf>H264 has become a "thing". Every 3rd flash is a fucking scraped vine or yt video with that
loopy preloader.
Not to say there isn't a lot of entertaining stuff, but relly guise, LERN2FLASH and at least put
some creative editing in it.
You don't have to go all Weebl or anything... I often wrap a video in a swf - but 9 out of 10, I
produce the video myself just for the purpose, and drop it here. It's all about the creative
edit, IMHO

We already have /d/, and that's about as low as you can go on the degeneracy scale. What kind of
'normalfag' would be attracted to 4chan for WP that wouldn't already be here for the more more
extreme ends of the scale: /s/ or /d/.
It isn't like porn is 4chan's major draw for newcomers, anyway.
>> [_] OP 10/01/15(Thu)21:34:20 No.2917376

NEVER happens here-
>>2917349
>going to be a much larger influx of normalfags and undesireables
Meh, maybe, maybe not. Ultimately, the prevailing culture will filter out the immigrants into
real newfags, or gaijin.
The thing is, (which someone poo-pooed as "moot is kill) we're based on a board theme and set of
convoluted, patches-on-patches set of rules as a direct result of being founded and administered
by a kid with a dream and no experience whatsoever. Little wonder 4chan is what it is today.
And now we have a Native of the Dreamland take over, finding himself in the ironically
uncomfortable position of a true gaijin on this site... kinda like two dark-matter mirrors facing
each other with a laser beam between them.
Either shit's gonna implode in a black hole real fast, or this blows into a new glowing age for
lil' Yotsuba.

Yeah, I know what you mean.
I'd into Flash and animation as a whole, but I'm learning how to shoop right now. Two fronts of
the same battle.
I can't draw, I'm not very creative, and I take to long to produce an end product, which is why I
think I would be pretty bad at animation. I can, however, shoop pretty well for my skill level,
even though it takes a long time for me.
>>2917362
> How so?
Plenty of western people are looking for "normal" western porn of their favorite characters.
People in the east generally don't give a shit about western porn, and usually can't into English
anyways, so they aren't going to come here for the eastern porn.
Therefore, this is going to draw in degenerates from other places.
> We already have /d/, and that's about as low as you can go on the degeneracy scale.
That's different. The people there actually care about the content that's posted there.
Degenerates don't care, and when they all come in, they'll be the majority and think they're in
good company.
They can get porn from somewhere else, right? So why care about what they post?
> What kind of 'normalfag' would be attracted to 4chan for WP that wouldn't already be here for
the more more extreme ends of the scale: /s/ or /d/.
Ledditors, plain and simple.
That is the main source of all degeneracy on the Interbutts.
Apathy, over everything else, is the cancer that is killing 4Chan and society as a whole.
> It isn't like porn is 4chan's major draw for newcomers, anyway.
You fucking kidding me?
It's the number one draw for newcomers.
Even when I came here a few years ago, the first board I ever went on was /h/, then I migrated to
other boards.
What else do you think most people come here? le sik meems? Give me a fucking break.

I found /b/ shortly after 4chan was born, since it suddenly became a dirty word in the gaming
forum I used to do mods in... curiosity killed the longcat, right?
Sure dank memes are fun, but you're right, they get stale fast, and easily slosh out of our bowl
ont the interwebs below.
The problem here I agree is apathy, it comes and goes in waves. I've seen 4ch as a whole so dead
I've left for many months at a time. But the wheel always spins around again, kinda like that old
dota flash. Right now OC is in a slump, too many creative types are off elsewhere, or busy, or
gave up, but there's always more at the door.
I think the problem is global though, too... the internet and global society... I've noticed a
trend in many major social media; that in the past (roughly) 2 years, there's a marked increase
in apathetic and antisocial behavior being posted.
Go to any old YouTube video, say posted 5-6 years ago. Then follow the comments trail up in time,
and you see the pattern. All the now infamous (and ubiquitous!) shitposting on YT channels is
quite recent - it's always been there, but in tiny doses. These days, it's the norm. And being
firmly lodged in the Internet's medulla, the reflex has traveled here as well like a bang on the
funnybone.

Moot used to care about us, and he used advocate mods to not hide the posts after they were
deleted, unlike now.
Everything went to shit in 2007. I was never there, but I could tell.

You, sir, have struck the pinpoint of the situation. It is exactly as you say.
It would be a neverending blunder to discuss what actually causes this, though, and it has always
derailed the discussion. What's better to discuss is how things should work in order so that more

Fucking horrible. Go and read his posts about the nightmares of attracting non-hardcore

would set up clickbots so that the site would get ad revenue. Good times.

You don't. I mean, you can't really stop thousands of anons sharing shit to hundreds of thousands
of lesser anons (re:normalfags) that share the same shit with millions and millions online.
What you can do, however, is to change the shit. IMO you don't have to remove the shit to make it
disappear.

Well, some of the people of the old chan culture were willing to completely delete their 4Chan
folder and download nothing from 4Chan, and they even defaced some archived articles in an effort
to remove all history of 4Chan and it's memes in order to start anew. That's stupid, though, so
the next best thing would be to never post reaction images by themselves, never shitpost, and
never dump pictures in order to keep a thread alive.
