what kinda propaganda have you been hearing
Communism (or, more specifically, democratic socialism) was first conceptualized by a German
philosopher named Karl Marx. His idea was that the people should have COMMON ownership of the
means of production (hence, COMMUNism) be without social classes and money.
It was created & popularized in response to capitalist greed growing in the world. People saw it
as a way for the working class to overthrow the aristocracy and take control for the people, not
for the elite few.
Of course, as it "evolved," if became much more totalitarian, completely abandoning the concepts
of "no social classes" and "communal control" in favor of "do what your dictator says and shut
up."
(If you want more on that, a good book to read is Animal Farm by George Orwell, who also wrote
1984.)
Though Communism seems to have failed in Europe, I feel Communism (or ideas similar to Communism
under a different name, given how much Cold War propaganda has corrupted the average person's
view of it) could work excellently in the US, given how attached to our freedoms and against
dictatorships we are.
My point is, Trump stands for a system of capitalism and greed that has corrupted our country for
far too long (a system that most of /pol/ just blames on "the Jewish Elite" or "the Jews" in
general.) Meanwhile, Bernie wishes to change all that, preferring instead a system closer to
socialism where the rich are not allowed to suck up as much as they can without giving anything
back, and where the middle class can grow again to it's former glory (or perhaps something
better.)

the late 90's. Now we're in a constant cluster fuck because the US STILL hasn't fully adjusted to
the internet boom in the decade and a half that it's become popular, along with constant spending
of money on a war to fight terrorism that has been dragged out for far too long, among many other
reasons.
