  Anon confirmed for great taste.
MW3 kicks so much ass. It's a shame MWO sucks.

Why would people pilot these things from inside of them? Seems like it would be a lot more
efficient to pilot from a separate location, like a drone

Also why would you send ground troops to a battle like this

Ask anyone who's ever played a fighting game- latency matters a ton. An onboard pilot can react
instantly while a drone operator will always be faced with some level of delay. Plus if the
signal is cut off your multimillion dollar mech becomes useless.

Infantry is needed for things like securing positions, infiltrating compounds, interfacing with
human-size things. Though no idea why they'd deploy them like they did.

  > mffw there is no next chapter, the game is over

Drones are lost every now and then. They can be jammed, and some have been successfully hacked.
These are just modern drones, too. As one anon said before, latency is a bit of an issue also.
Expert tank crews have pretty damn good reflexes. The difference in reaction time that separates
them from intermediate crews , is very minute.
Complete battlefield awareness is vital. I can't imagine an expert pilot being content
controlling from the sidelines. There is simply no comparison between controlling a drone on a
screen (or even with VR) and being in the field.
Lastly, even very skilled elite soldiers are only valuable when theyre used. They're used
carefully, but there is no reason not to field them when their skills are needed.

you're exactly the kind of pussy that would say no to piloting a 75 ton thermonuclear walking

Oh wait , I forgot to take my meds so my autism is just running rampant today.
Mechs are expensive to produce , and take (presumably) a long time to master. For example, lets
take a high dollar piece of effective multipurpose hardware, but only ever use that particular
weapon for everything. You cant take an objective with only apaches and abrams. Boots on the
ground play a vital role in any conflict, in any arena, regardless of when it takes place.
I hear people talking about robots fighting future wars and whatnot, and to some extent , i
beleive it has merit. Though, when another fighting force destroys your hardware, are you just
going to roll over and present ass? You might, but most others won't. It would break down to the
fight that has existed since the dawn of time. Proxy battles would be the beginning, but its the
blood of those to be subjugated that would always be spilled for either victory or defeat.
