The reason society is garbage is because of apathy, not small talk. It's because small talks
devolved into weather and sports rather than genuine interest in another human being you don't
know. Frankly I'm bad with people, and the idea of talking scares me often times, but to say
small talk is dumb is to say that we, as a society, might as well act as one another don't exist.
Life is too short to ignore everyone and simply move on, I'd rather meet new people and ask a few
how their day is going then live just doing the cycles with my head down throwing out apples or
jars or whatever you do at your or my retail jobs.
And hell, what is so wrong about making someones miserable day a little better about making them
feel mildly important or at least interesting? Has life really fucked kicked you so much that
another persons shallow joy is so hard to stand? They say misery loves company, and it does, but
what most people forget is that joy loves company too.
