Let's be real... The golden age of anime can't hold a torch to the golden age of western
animation.

The "cartoon" style was only adopted because Western Animation (for the most part) is aimed at
children while anime is aimed at man-children

Anime for the most part is shit. Cartoons have better consistency in FPS and fluid movement.
Anime just has better still shots because they have a style of inhuman looking characters in a
realistic environment.
