Oliver made his career on pushing an agenda and ribbing right wing, and to lesser extent extreme
left. He did it on a comedy opinion show about mocking actual news. I don't care about him, who
he mocks, or the message he wants to send but it's a fact his entire comedy bit is based around
pushing an agenda.

To me he's always been a fun guy in a political comedy show (INHERITLY LEFT). I never thought he
wanted to be taken completely seriously when talking about politics, and I still don't. What he

It does seem mean, but it makes a lot of sense when you think about how pissed off John Oliver
was after Trump started going after his friend Jon Stewart. The naming this is basically personal
now.
Ironically, the whole name thing has overshadowed the actual political content of the episode;
John Oliver's criticism was basically that Trump lacks a coherent plan of action as a president,
and that his qualifications from the business world are false, continuing on to say that Trump
has ridden a wave of (undeserved) brand recognition to his position in the election.
Whether or not this is true is certainly debatable, but that is the actual content of Oliver's
criticism, which seems to have been lost. It's ironic, because the whole Drumpf thing is supposed
to be a way to wrap up that criticism into an easily digestible package, but has actually totally
overshadowed the criticism itself.
